THE ADVANTAGE OF HOLLOW FIBER BIOREACTORS

October 9, 2018

It is now appreciated that conventional cell culture techniques are not the most physiologically relevant way to grow cells or the optimal way to harvest biologics for production. Cells grown on nonporous plastic dishes suffer from uneven nutrient distribution and constant disruption during passaging. Furthermore, the use of serum is not physiologically relevant, and lot-to-lot variations in serum composition and quality can also affect cell culture results.

White Labs Inc

At White Labs we culture and distribute liquid yeast to brewers, distillers and winemakers. Liquid yeast is readily pitchable, unlike dry yeast which has to be rehydrated before pitching. Also, our liquid yeast is guaranteed pure, that's because our lab technicians perform rigorous quality control testing on the yeast at various growth stages to ensure that it is free from all contamination.

IoT To The Rescue For Biotech & Pharma Manufacturing

whitePaper | April 7, 2020

The Internet of Things (IoT) could not be timelier for biotech/pharma. With fierce cost pressures, the push for value-based outcomes, and the need for flexible manufacturing solutions, the IoT is the much-needed shot in the arm to bring about transformational change. Sensors, actuators, and devices (“things”) embedded in production equipment and networked through computer systems can generate an enormous amount of data. The data can be mined for insights and opportunities to drive production efficiency, automate monitoring and controlling functions, and enable flexible manufacturing systems.
