Researchers from MIT, Columbia University, and elsewhere have developed computationally simple robots that connect in large groups to move around, transport objects, and complete other tasks. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology is an independent, coeducational, privately endowed university in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
