Detecting halo or zone of inhibition around bacterial colonies

The new QPix 2.0 Software release enables measurement of clearing zones within a lawn of bacteria due to an inhibitor producing colony. The "Zone of Inhibition Detection" module provides a gallery view of the colonies and outputs several parameters such as colony size, halo diameter, compactness, etc.
