Nucleic acids are known to be fragile payloads. To enable their safe and efficient delivery into cells, the RNA payload needs to be “packed” into a delivery vehicle, the lipid nanoparticles (LNP). This webinar gives insight into our capabilities for customized LNP formulation development for novel therapeutic modalities.

Cell culture is the unsung workhorse of biopharmaceutical drug development, yet it is so often the essential backbone of discovery projects. The growth of cells in laboratory settings constitutes a wide assortment of factors for their appropriate growth, with environmental conditions raking at the top of the list of importance. Reliable incubator technology is critical to yielding the high-quality results investigators are constantly seeking. Moreover, with respect to GMP, incubator technology must include algorithmic control systems and safeguards designed to protect the cell culture or cell-expressed product, particularly when associated with direct human applications such as cell-derived biologics and whole-cell therapies.

Multi-Gene panel-based genetic testing has emerged as the standard of care for cancer genetic testing. This has led to the identification of TP53 mutations among individuals without classic personal or family histories of Li-Fraumeni syndrome. These mutations may be due to mosaicism, clonal hematopoiesis, or due to form fruste Li-Fraumeni syndrome. We will discuss how these findings are shaping clinical cancer genetics care and how they are leading to a re-evaluation of the epidemiology and penetrance of germline TP53 mutations.

Viruses outnumber bacteria in soil by as much as 1000:1. However, there are few studies which examine the ways viral communities impact the soil microbiome, chemical cycles, and plants. Recent advances in viral ecology make it a discussion of soil viral ecology especially timely.
