Maximizing Throughput for Shotgun Proteomics

January 12, 2019

The proteome of an organism is a dynamic entity that encompasses all expressed proteins including isoforms and modifications as well as protein-protein interactions. It has taken decades to hone the analytical methods required to measure and quantify these proteins in a rapid, reliable manner, but recent innovations in mass spectrometry (MS) based proteomics methods have enabled the large-scale study of proteins and peptides.
