This video serves as an introduction to biotechnology, in which we’ll focus on the use of living organisms in industrial processes. First we’ll look at how biotechnology can be used to produce food, pharmaceutical drugs, enzymes and biogas along with examples for each category. Then we’ll discuss the advantages of using microorganisms as well as other aspects of biotechnology. Finally, we’ll showcase the processes of making yoghurt, cheese, alcoholic beverages and single-cell protein.
